Clearwater is home to a tight-knit community of approximately 2,300 residents, located just over 124 kilometres north of Kamloops. Clearwater Secondary School is home to approximately 240 students and offers a comprehensive selection of academic, arts, and sports programmes. Our offerings encompass a range of applied design, technology programmes, and a variety of extracurricular activities and clubs, including football, volleyball, basketball, rugby, tennis, and golf. In addition, students can take advantage of various after-school and evening recreation programmes offered in collaboration with the District of Clearwater. These programmes offer a range of activities, including dry-land training, life coaching, yoga, high-intensity interval training, and drama. The school’s student council serves as valuable contributors to the local city council, offering innovative bylaws and actively participating in community projects. Clearwater has established itself as a key hub for various industries including tourism, forestry, agriculture, and mining. Its close proximity to Wells Grey Provincial Park further enhances its appeal as a vibrant and thriving community. This area offers a wide range of outdoor activities, including a community-run ski hill, an extensive network of cross-country ski trails, and over 20 kilometres of mountain bike trails. Clearwater residents have the advantage of post-secondary education opportunities, with access to Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops.
