Colorado State University, also known as Colorado State or CSU, is a prestigious public land-grant research university located in the beautiful city of Fort Collins, Colorado. It serves as the main university within the Colorado State University System. Colorado State University has been classified as an R1 institution, indicating its significant research activity. The institution was established in 1870 as Colorado Agricultural College and later adopted its present name in 1957. In 2018, the total number of students enrolled was around 34,166, comprising both resident and non-resident instruction students.
