Furen International School (FIS) was founded in 2000 as a Preparatory School. Initially established as a School to equip students for the Singapore’s GCE O-Level Examinations, our offerings have now diversified to include a range of other courses. Furen International School is committed to equipping students for university, initially focusing on Singapore’s O-Level studies but has now broadened its range of programmes. The school offers comprehensive courses to help students excel in the Cambridge IGCSE, Singapore-Cambridge GCE O-Level, CIE A-Level, and Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-Level examinations. In addition, Furen International School provides Lower Secondary courses (with a phase-out by 30 June 2019 for the lower secondary) and IELTS programmes to meet a wide range of academic needs. Their commitment to a well-rounded education is demonstrated by their support of students engaging in external events and activities. These include Leadership Camps, SCMUN Conferences, and voluntary programmes such as Willing Hearts, SWAMI Home, and ACE Mentoring Programme. The school takes pride in offering a wide range of student clubs, such as the Debate Society, Drama Club, Dance Club, and Basketball Club. Additionally, it stands out as the first and only private school in Singapore to host both Boys and Girls Brigade.
