The Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur (IUKL; Malay: Universiti Infrastruktur Kuala Lumpur), previously known as Kuala Lumpur Infrastructure University College (KLIUC), is a prestigious institution located in Kajang, Hulu Langat District, Selangor, Malaysia. This university in Malaysia is the first of its kind, setting the stage for innovative infrastructure education. The organization was founded in 1998 after the privatization of the Research and Training Institute of Public Works Department of Malaysia (IKRAM). The university is a subsidiary of Protasco Berhad, a company listed on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia. The individual holding the position of president and vice-chancellor at IUKL is Prof. Dato’ Dr. Noor Inayah Ya’akub. IUKL’s expansive 100-acre (0.40 km2) campus is strategically located in the vibrant area of Kajang and Serdang, perfectly situated between the bustling capital Kuala Lumpur and the administrative city of Malaysia, Putrajaya. Located just a short drive away from Kuala Lumpur city centre, the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), and Cyberjaya, the country’s intelligent city, this destination offers convenient accessibility for travelers. The campus can be easily reached by taking the North-South Highway (or Seremban Highway). Students can easily reach IUKL by utilizing the convenient transportation options available. They can take the KTM Komuter intercity train service to Serdang Station and then transfer to the LRT to Sungai Besi Station. From there, they can hop on the IUKL feeder bus service to complete their journey.
