Description

The International College of Music (ICOM) was founded in 1995 and is officially recognised by the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education. Additionally, its full-time programmes have received accreditation from the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA). The grand opening of ICOM was graced by the Prime Minister of Malaysia. During the event, ICOM proudly announced its induction into the prestigious Berklee International Network, now known as Berklee Global Partners. Additionally, ICOM unveiled its groundbreaking “3+0” UK degree programme in professional music, a first in Malaysia. ICOM has achieved the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification and is proud to hold the prestigious Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) status for music technology education. Since 2005, ICOM has been involved in various nation-building and corporate social responsibility projects. They have made significant contributions, totaling over RM10 million, to initiatives such as The ICOM Patriotic Songwriting Competition (2001), The ICOM Asian Tsunami Relief Concert (2005), GEGAR-U, and various music teacher training and music industry training and development programmes.
