IUMW, also known as the International University of Malaya Wales, is a private university located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Established in 2013 through a collaboration between the University of Malaya (UM) and the University of Wales.
International University of Malaya Wales provides a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate programs, attracting students from Malaysia and around the world. Students at International University of Malaya Wales have the option to pursue dual programs of study, allowing them to graduate with degrees from both International University of Malaya Wales and University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD).
Students at International University of Malaya Wales have the chance to take part in a student exchange program that allows them to study at UWTSD. Students at International University of Malaya Wales can utilize the facilities and library resources at the University of Malaya main campus for free.
The International University of Malaya Wales campus is situated on land leased from Bank Negara Malaysia, which was acquired by BNM in 2017.
Three academic faculties and centers are part of the International University of Malaya Wales. The university offers a variety of academic departments including Business, Arts and Science, Communication & Technology, Science & Psychology, and Foundation, Language, and Malaysian Studies.
The Faculty of Business provides a wide range of bachelor’s degrees including entrepreneurship, human resource management, international business, Islamic finance, marketing, accounting, and real estate management and auction. They also offer a master of business administration degree, a doctor of business administration programme, and a doctor of philosophy degree in business.
The Faculty of Arts and Science provides a range of undergraduate and graduate programs in various fields such as psychology, computer science, information technology, and professional communication.
The Centre of Foundation, Language and Malaysian Studies provides foundation programs in science and arts.
International University of Malaya Wales offers a variety of Dual Award programmes including bachelor’s degrees in computer science, professional communication, psychology entrepreneurship, human resource management, international business, Islamic finance, marketing, and accounting. Upon graduation, students will be awarded certification from both IUMW and UWTSD.
